Children vs Fear

I recently heard about a woman who experienced the fear of being a German Jew, although she was an American Christian living in New York State. During WWII, her father worked at a bomb-making plant. The town would hold regular air raid drills. The fear of being bombed lives with that 80-year-old woman today. What are you doing to help your children overcome fear? Here are some suggestions: http://www.askdrsears.com/html/10/T110248.asp

  1. This is very helpful - In reference to the Ease bedtime fears section... The kids & and I would check all the scary areas together before we sprayed the "ANTI-MONSTER SPRAY" (A tad of food coloring in some water). It seemed to help that the actually saw there was nothing in the closet or under the bed.
